by ACCORD and the Senate Committee on the Status of Faculty of Color, a watch party livestream of the NY Times “1619 Project” included numerous speakers, such as The Times Magazine staff writer and originator of The 1619 Project, Nikole Hannah-Jones; National Museum of African American History and Culture curator of American Slavery Mary Elliott; Times cultural critic Wesley Morris; journalist and professor Linda Villarosa, and many more. There were also special performances by local students.
