Marie Amey-Taylor

Dr. Amey-Taylor has provided training and organizational development services to major corporations and organizations throughout the world including: assessing individual and group needs; designing organization-wide training and organizational development and diversity and inclusion initiatives and facilitating strategy development and implementation; focus-group processing; analyzing processes; conducting team building experiences; mediating and facilitating conflict resolution interventions; executive coaching for professional and career development; retreat planning and facilitation; and conducting individual/group coaching sessions.
Her research interests and activities in the areas of diversity, multiculturalism and inclusion have included her doctoral research on diversity practitioners entitled Diversity Trainers: Personal Profiles, Paradigms and Practices; numerous articles in which her work as a diversity practitioner has been featured and designing and delivering hundreds of diversity-related programming in academic, profit, not-for-profit, community and volunteer settings. In 2005, she conceptualized and developed the Kaleidoscope Diversity Identity Model as a tool for self-reflections and interpersonal communication. Marie has facilitated its dissemination to over 1,000 participants and undergraduate and graduate students in a variety of educational and professional development settings. The model and Marie’s unique facilitation have been applauded as exciting tools for
enhanced diversity awareness and dialogue. Marie is currently developing additional tools for its enhanced dissemination.

She is the Founder and Director of InterACTion Improvisational Theater Troupe, a diverse theatrical ensemble of actors/facilitators with extensive backgrounds in organizational development and training, human services program design/coordination and cultural and medical anthropology.
Performing before thousands, the troupe has received national recognition. InterACTion’s clients have included educational institutions, businesses, government agencies and professional associations.
