The Graduate Organization of the College of Education (GOCOE), Presenting Our Perspective on Philly Youth News (POPPYN), and ACCORD hosted a screening and discussion of POPPYN’s Black Lives Matter Episode. Discussion panel members included members of the POPPYN Youth News team, representatives from the Philadelphia Black Lives Matter movement, local educators and ACCORD Steering Committee members Karen M. Turner and Marie Amey-Taylor. The discussion focused on the Black Lives Matter Movement and its relationship to education and social media. Turner shared her journalism expertise and Amey-Taylor provided perspective from her experiences in education.
