Financing Your PHBB Travel

One of the most important factors in planning to participate in PHBB trips is considering how you will fund your experience. With proper planning and a commitment to exploring funding resources, PHBB travel is possible for any student at Temple University. The cost of the trip is based on airfare, in-country ground transportation, food and lodging.

The cost of the trip varies by country, length of stay, and flight prices. Generally, the trips cost between $1,300-$1,500.

The Hope Travel Award

The Award provides an amount of up to $750 to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in any college at Temple University who are registered in the EPBI 3387 PHBB International Travel class.

The PHBB Opportunities Award

The Award offers up to $300 to undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in any college at Temple University who are registered for the EPBI 3387 PHBB International Travel Class in addition or instead of the Hope Award.

Fundraising

Students usually organize fundraising activities at Temple University during the semester to support their in country expenses. Fundraised amounts per fundraiser vary between $50-$150.
