Junior Architecture Project

The project shown is an accumulation of the work 11 architecture design Temple students; all in their junior year, made in an effort to solve housing concerns in 50 years time around the world using this project as a basis for future communities. It accommodates its 32 person population with a 1,600 sqft edible roof and vertical hydroponic garden, which allows the community to grow its own food on a land bed where otherwise you wouldn’t be able.

Each person in this community has a part to play, whether that be working the farm, teaching the kids in the onsite day care, making art/furniture in the on site workshop, or organizing books in the onsite library.

This was a test of organizational skills, team work, and overall communication for myself and the students who worked on it alongside me. further explanation on this project and others that I have worked on throughout my time at temple will be shown at a later date, so don’t miss out.
