The Nuclear Physics Group publishes in Nature a new measurement of the proton’s gluonic gravitational form factors: The reported experiment investigated the gravitational density of gluons inside the nucleon and the new results revealed that the proton has a mass radius that is notably smaller than the electric charge radius. The paper is published in Nature 615, 813 (2023)

US Department of Energy selects our paper on the proton polarizabilities for a Science Highlight (publication highlight of special note). Each year, scientists with the Office of Science, at national laboratories, and supported by the Office of Science at the nation’s colleges and universities, publish thousands of research findings in the scientific literature. A small group of these are selected annually by the Office of Science as publication highlights of special note. The Department of Energy has selected our recent work on the proton polarizabilities for the December 19th Science Highlight.
