This course will broaden your familiarity with the historiography as well as the history of U.S. foreign relations. A complement to Studies in the Cold War (History 8209), the chronological parameters extend from the Revolutionary era through the conclusion of World War II (i.e., the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki). The success of any graduate course is contingent on the collective contributions of everyone. Hence all students will contribute early and often.
