Faculty Workshop
Tuesday, November 16, 8-9:30am ET (2pm CET; 10pm JST)
Online
Intercultural learning matters because it helps students develop skills that are critical to becoming more empathetic humans, collective problem solvers and leaders of the future. Thus, it is applicable to a variety of learning contexts, whether you are interested in taking students abroad, facilitating guest lectures or student discussions across campuses, or teaching in a multicultural classroom right here on campus (hint: you are). You will leave this workshop with some effective practices for enhancing intercultural learning in your classroom.

Our students are facing an uncertain future, one disrupted by a climate crisis, global pandemic, social inequities and so much more. Studying abroad teaches us about ourselves and our relationship to the world around us, including the planet itself. Join a panel of study abroad and international students as they discuss sustainability practices in their home country and what they have learned from studying in other countries. Find out how their experiences abroad changed their perspective on climate change and sustainable practices and will alter their behavior back home.
