The Earth Day movement has utilized technology and social media platforms, creating much impact for reform.

Social Media’s impact has been substantial when it came to the Earth Day movement.
Specific to this movement, the most influential activists would be under the EarthDayNetwork.

Social Media would help spread the movement regarding virtual concerts, stories and climate problems that need to be addressed to the public. These platforms all contain similar content regarding the push for reform, and have clearly impacted many lives.
Instagram: The EarthDayNetwork’s Instagram consisted of many different ways of reform, the most prevalent being the “Climate Education Hub” seminars. These seminars contained critical conversations about the current climate situation, but also had partnerships & projects that members can be informed about. In addition to these seminars, members had also got together and formed online gatherings.
- These online gatherings would ultimately cut carbon costs but also collected more members across the world.
- Some of these gatherings consisted of:
- Performances
- Discussions
- Protests and Action

YouTube would be one of the most important tools for reform because it would get others to join the movement. In return, this may get more members to recoginize the amount of change that needs to happen. The YouTube channel “EARTHDAYORG”, contained members across the world acting on change. The EarthDayNetwork youtube would be one of the many channels that also cover climate change and reform.
These videos also consisted of live seminars that others can view, showing how impactful technology and social media platforms can be.
