About me

I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Philosophy at Temple University.

My research focuses on ethical issues in medicine and medical research, with special attention to transplant medicine. My dissertation is a critical examination of the ethics of objectification in transplant, and argues that practices of objectification are contingent rather than necessary features of organ donation and transplantation today.

Outside of academia, I have been a transplant professional, with experience on both the donor and recipient sides of transplantation, since 2007. I have as a member of the multi-disciplinary transplant team with the Departments of Abdominal and Cardiothoracic Surgery at Temple University Hospital since 2013.
