Dr. Deepan Bose
I was born in Paramakudi (a small town in Ramnad district), in Tamilnadu, India. I did my schooling in my hometown. In 2000, I joined the Central Electrochemical Research Institute (CECRI) Karaikudi, to pursue my undergraduate degree (B.Tech) in Chemical & Electrochemical Engineering. In CECRI, I had lab experience in Electrochemical Power sources such as fuel cells. My final dissertation project was entitled “Design of 1KW Polymer Electrolyte membrane fuel cells.” After graduating from CECRI, I had a chance to work in TVS Motor Company, (Third largest manufacturers of two wheelers in India) in Hosur, India. I worked there for two years in the materials department and understood good manufacturing concepts like JIT, TPM, etc. I had a chance to develop engine casting components and worked in field of Die casting. I was with TVS Motors from 2004-2006, I left the job to pursue my higher studies at Temple University.
I spent part of 2007 in the STM group and my research was in Electrochemistry.
