Hi guys! My name is Rosa, and I am a Senior Sophister Chemistry student at Trinity College Dublin who has been given the opportunity to intern for the Borguet Group as part of my final year. 
Chemistry, and all that it offers, has always been an enticing subject for me and I look forward to contributing to this research group where I will be looking at the catalysis of porous materials. With previous research conducted in organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and microbiology, it is my greatest privilege to be able to expand my knowledge in physical chemistry and ultimately broaden my horizons within the chemical sciences world. Upon graduating in 2026, I will proceed to do a PhD within the School of Medicine of Trinity College Dublin in organometallic chemistry with microbiology, and looking at mechanisms which favour the depletion of the cell wall of a gram-negative cell to ultimately reverse the resistance of that cell to a range of carbapenem drugs.
