OVERVIEW

As a comprehensive, public, research institution serving over 35,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, Temple University has excellent facilities for an enhanced educational experience.

LOCATION

BETT participants will benefit from the university’s placement in Philadelphia.  Our main campus is only a short subway ride away from the historic center of Philadelphia, the second-largest city on the East Coast of the United States, and the birthplace of America.

HEALTH SERVICES

Temple has primary care physicians and mental health counselors available to students on campus. These offices provide walk-in medical services as well as scheduled appointments. Temple University Hospital is less than 2 miles from campus for emergency health services and emergency dental care.

FACILITIES

Tech Center: The TECH Center houses over 700 computers and provides advanced technology spaces for students to complete projects. This building is home to our Help Desk that can help students almost 24 hours a day with computer problems. In addition, there are multiple computer labs and study spaces on campus where students can complete homework assignments as individuals or in study groups.

Campus Recreation: If you have signed up for campus recreation, you will have access to:

Independence Blue Cross Recreation Center, 1701 N. 15th Street:
The primary area for general fitness activities and programs. Located at the corner of 15th Street and Cecil B Moore Avenue, the entrance to the center is off of 15th Street across from the parking garage.

TU Fitness (TUF), 1600 N. Broad Street (2nd floor of Avenue North) Suite 2122:
A new campus recreation fitness facility with over 16,000 square feet of space

Person/McGonigle Halls, Suite 303, 1800 N. Broad Street:
A newly constructed 30,500-square foot space provides opportunities for activities such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, as well as an indoor golf driving range. Recreational swimming is available in Pearson McGonigle Halls, Pool 30.

Fitness Mezzanine:
A new informal recreation area located on the second floor of Pearson Hall.

The Arts: Temple also has a thriving art scene right on campus, with music, dance, art exhibits and theater offerings offered frequently.

Campus Bus: Temple University offers free shuttle service to students to and from the Ambler campus, Temple Hospital and other locations.
