Program Dates

Arrival: Saturday, June 29, 2019

Departure: Saturday, August 10, 2019

The Intensive English Language Program (IELP) is pleased to host 30 Brazilian English teachers at Temple University this summer.  Our comprehensive six-week BETT (Brazilian English Teachers at Temple) program will strengthen the participants’ English, introduce new online and traditional teaching methodologies, familiarize teachers with technologies that can help students reach their learning goals, provide information on best practices for assessment and feedback, and most importantly, allow the teachers to “live” the teaching practices that we espouse by utilizing them as students of our program. Participants will benefit from the university’s placement in Philadelphia, the second-largest city on the East Coast and the birthplace of America. Students’ cultural experiences will be enhanced with trips in and around Philadelphia as well as to New York and Ocean City, NJ.
