    • This year’s Barnes Conference will be held Friday evening,
March 13 2026, and all day Saturday March 14 2026. Graduate
students can submit an abstract and a CV here using this
google form. Registration is due by January 16, 2026.
  2. Where will the Barnes Conference be held?
    • The Barnes Conference will be held at Temple University’s
Center City Campus, located at 1515 Market Street. Head
inside and up to the fourth floor, where Barnes Club students
will greet you and sign you in.
  3. How can I get to TUCC using public transportation?
    • Via SEPTA, TUCC is conveniently located right across from
City Hall, where both the Broad Street Line and the Market
Frankford Line stop. If you are taking Regional Rail, the closest
      train station is Suburban Station.

    • TUCC does not have available parking. We recommend the
Love Park Parking Garage, located just a few blocks from
      TUCC.

    • Registration is $50 for presenters and $25 for attendees.
Registration is free for all Barnes Club members. We accept

and check. Your registration fee includes dinner on Friday
evening,as well as breakfast, lunch, and coffee on Saturday.
  6. I’m coming to Philadelphia from out of town. Where can I stay? What
things can I do for fun in Philadelphia while I’m here?
    • While the Barnes Club cannot facilitate hotel stays, Center City
is one of Philadelphia’s busiest neighborhoods, and there are
plenty of hotels near to TUCC. VisitPhilly, Philadelphia’s tourist
board, has resources available to help visitors decide where to
stay and has suggestions for fun activities to do.
  7. Where’s the best cheesesteak in Philadelphia?
    • This year’s Barnes Conference Chair, Clare McCabe, swears
by Dalessandro’s in Roxborough. But closer by, she would also
recommend Jim’s or Ishkabibble’s, both on South Street.
