An event hosted by ACCORD and the Senate Committee on the Status of Faculty of Color, a watch party livestream of the NY Times “1619 Project” included numerous speakers, such as The Times Magazine staff writer and originator of The 1619 Project, Nikole Hannah-Jones; National Museum of African American History and Culture curator of American Slavery Mary Elliott; Times cultural critic Wesley Morris; journalist and professor Linda Villarosa, and many more. There were also special performances by local students.
The event took place Wednesday October 30, 2019 in the Klein College Atrium, Temple University.
