5G networks are the next generation of mobile internet connectivity. Combining cutting-edge network technology and the very latest research. Offering faster speeds and multitudes connections on smartphones and other devices than ever before. Thus, the average download speeds of around 1GB ps expected to soon be the norm.1
5G networks are called “ The New Engine of Digital Economy”. They are the basic of AI, Big Data, Social Media and so on. Also, they play a significant role in Industrial Internet.
It is very hard for a company to create the chip of 5G networks. Technicians need to do lots of self studies. The company must have their own technology. But this is a long way. And there is a lot of competition between these companies which are trying to produce the chip of 5G networks. They all have the risk that high skilled technicians will be poached by high salaries. So there are lots of problems they need to figure them out.
Recently, Huawei has published that they have already created the chip of 5G networks. This is a very important thing for the whole world. It means that Huawei has achieved to be a head of 5G networks and End-to-side Artificial Intelligence. So maybe HuaWei would be a strong company.
It is a worship of technology, promote innovation era. So, it is important to invent new technology. 5G networks can improve our life, it can increase the speed of the network access. Also, it can be used to drive and control UAVs remotely, for it is enough fast. But, it also requires very high quality of mobile phone. So it would be a problem that not everyone can afford the high price.

An encoder is a device, circuit, transducer, software program, algorithm or person that converts information from one format or code to another, for the purpose of standardization, speed or compression.1

The encoder can be divided into 4 types. Firstly, different classification according to the hole cutting method of code disk. And in this type, it can be separated by 2 types. One is the Incremental type, the other is the Absolute value type. Secondly, according to the type of signal output, it can be divided into a voltage output, collector open circuit output, push-pull complementary output, and long line drive output. Thirdly, classification by the mechanical installation of an encoder. Last but not at least, according to the working principle of encoder, it can be divided into photoelectric type, magnetoelectric type, and contact brush type. Depends on it can be divided by many different types, it increases more and more possibilities to be used in many different areas.

For example, in the elevator industry, it can be used to control the position of the car and the speed of the elevator.2 Moreover, in the machine tool industry. The encoder can be used in the motor industries. Also, it can be used in AI, army and so on.

With regard to what I have mentioned above, for my own viewpoint, the encoder has a good development in the future. In fact, the degree of global industrialization is different. From industry 2.0 to industry 4.0 in China, every enterprise or regional industry is in a different stage. In the process of leaping to industry 4.0, not only equipment but also a large number of sensors and software are needed to be input to obtain real data in real-time. As the sensor at the end of the whole machine, the encoder shoulders the role of grabbing real data and executing the brain. Therefore, the encoder plays a very important role in it.3 So, creators need to make the encoder be higher cost performance, digitalization and networking. Thus, the encoder can develop well in the future.

digital cinematography

Digital cinematography is the process of capturing (recording) a motion picture using digital image sensors rather than through film stock. As digital technology has improved in recent years, this practice has become dominant.1

It was created in 1980s, and it was a production of high-level digital technology. With the development of digital technology, many traditional film-making can not be enough to satisfy the audiences, for there were many shots that could not be made by traditional film-making. Thus, the digital cinematography was created. During 1992s to 2002s, it has been used widely and successfully. But the most successful one was Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones.2 In the whole movie, there was no any traditional film movie shooting lens. The movie was finished with full using of digital shooting equipment. The director George Lucas use “0” and “1” to record. It became the first film which had no film. 

There are three different ways to make it, they are computer-generated, shooting with a high-definition digital camera, and digitalize it to computer’s hard drive, after shooting with a film camera. Depends on using these advanced technology, digital cinematography not only avoids the ageing and fading of the film due to the illumination of the light source, ensures that the film is always bright and new, but also ensures that the picture does not have any jitter and flicker with sufficient pixel stability, and the viewer can no longer see the rain-like stroke. Trace wear phenomenon. Moreover, the earth is facing increasingly serious pollution problems, environmental protection is becoming more and more important, and the low-carbon economy has become the main demand for the development of all countries. In the past, the film-printing industry was a major chemical pollution company, spending huge sums of money every year to carry out environmental protection, and digital movies were free from bondage. Thus, we can see that digital cinematography honestly can bring many benefits.

In my opinion, although digital cinematography has a lot of benefits, it cannot totally replace the traditional film-making. In terms of color reproduction and saturation, digital cameras still have a large gap with film cameras, and digital technology is almost impossible to achieve film color sensitivity.3 So, when the contrast between the pictures is strong, the digital cinematography cannot deal with the details very well. Instead of it, traditional one can present very subtle details and color contrast. In a word, digital cinematography has a wide development space, but the traditional one is the main way to create a film recently.

An unmanned aerial vehicle is commonly known as a drone, which is one kind of aircraft without a human pilot on board. And can be controlled by an operator or an onboard computer, which is called an unmanned aircraft system. 1

An unmanned aerial vehicle system always has two parts, one is the drone itself, and another is the control system. Drones are “equipped with different state of the art technology such as infrared cameras, GPS and laser”, and “controlled by remote ground control systems (GSC) and also referred to as a ground cockpit”. The company of DJI has declared their achievement in the area of UAV, no matter in the market and the technology field. For example, the DJI Phantom 3, which is the most popular drones on the market, which includes a lot of top technologies, the UAV, gimbal and camera. 2

According to the development of UAV technologies in recent years, the use of drones has been expanded from military applications to civilian applications rapidly, which include commercial, science, recreation, agriculture, and others. However, there are also some problems coming with the drones, a lot of people are worrying about its safety and privacy issues. It has been seen a lot that some owners of drones are trying to photographing the others. But overall, there is a great potential that the UAV can help a better and convenience life for us. 

Nowadays, there are some companies are trying to develop the possibility of using the drones to serve urban delivering. Google, Dominos and Amazon all have shown some videos of delivering their goods to costumers. Under the worldwide context of the trend of civilization, it is really meaningful to take this possibility into consideration of the future world. The drones can do much more than urban delivery, so it is really of an necessary to explore more about the UAV.

Electric fence

Electronic fence is the most advanced perimeter anti-theft alarm system. The system mainly consists of electronic fence host, front-end accessories and back-end control system. They are frequently used to enhance the security of sensitive areas, such as military installations, prisons, and other security sensitive places; places exist where lethal voltages are used.1

The electronic fence generates and receives high-voltage pulse signals. And it generates alarm signals when the front end detects that the fence is in contact, short circuit or open circuit state, and sends the intrusion signals back to the security center.

So, electronic fence has many functions. Initially, high voltage pulse electronic fence and electrostatic induction fence with complete and clear boundary have strong blocking and deterrent functions. Additionally, intelligent alarm function with very low false alarm rate. Thirdly, equipped with alarm interface, it can be linked with other security monitoring systems to improve the security level of the system.

For my own viewpoint, electronic fence is good for many people, for it is controlled by microprocessor with high reliability and easy to operate keyboard. So people can learn to use that easier. It has high and low voltage convertible mode. It is convenient for user to change the voltage to what they prefer. The electronic fence also has the advantages of beautiful appearance, convenient installation and maintenance, simple operation, not limited by the terrain, and low cost. It has a good condition to be developed in the future, and I believe that as time goes by, electronic fence would create more benefits.

Laser cutting

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to cut materials, and is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications, Laser cutting works by directing the output of a high-power laser most commonly through optics. 1

Laser cutting technology is widely used in the processing of metal and non-metal materials, which can greatly reduce processing time, reduce processing costs and improve the quality of the workpiece. For example, in MJCC studio, there is a laser cutting machine. Students can use it to create the projects they need. The Laser cutting machine can be used to cut fiber, acrylic for jewelry major students. Modern laser has become the “sword” of “cutting iron like mud” that people fantasize about pursuing.

There are many benefits to use laser cutting to finish the piece. Initially, Smooth cutting surface. Traditional blade saw always makes the cutting surface rough, but laser cutting technology fixes the problem very well. Additionally, diversity. There are many different types of materials can be chosen, such as fiber, acrylic and so on. Finally, material saving. Computer programming can be used to tailor the whole sheet material of different shapes of products, so as to maximize the utilization rate of materials.

With regard to what I have mentioned above, I think laser cutting technology brings many benefits. Laser cutting is the use of material to excite light, which has a strong temperature. According to the material of laser cutting, the cutting effect is satisfactory and the precision is high, which inherits the advantages of laser and is not comparable with ordinary cutting methods.Compared with traditional cutting methods, laser cutting is more understandable, easy to learn, and has absolute advantages in terms of processing effect and speed required by businesses. Therefore, it is believed that laser cutting machine will be the demand of the public in the choice of cutting methods in the future.

Virtual Reality is a simulated experience that can be similar to or completely different from the real world. It is a new practical technology developed in the 20th century. It uses computers to generate a simulation environment and immerse users in the environment.1

VR is very popular in our daily life, and it actually be applied in many different areas. For example, 9DVR Experience Museum creates many films and games to combines the existing landscape of the earth with our fantasies to make people feel they are in a future world. Additionally, Virtual reality technology has achieved little in the field of design, such as interior design. People can use virtual reality technology to show the interior structure and the shape of houses through virtual technology, making them visible objects and environments. At the same time, in the early stage of design, designers can simulate their ideas through virtual reality technology, and can see the actual indoor effect in the virtual environment in advance, which saves time and reduces costs. For sure, VR exists in other areas as well, such as medical, military and education.

In this year, there was a popular movie called Ready Player One, it was directed by Steven Allan Spielberg. The movie was set in 2045, and most people devoted themselves to the virtual online game “Oasis” (OASIS) in order to escape the chaos of the real world. An orphan boy Wade Watts discovers hidden clues in the game, while the game company promises the winner will get the ownership of the game and inherit the $500 billion heritage of the game creator as a reward.2 In the movie, it shows us many cool functions of VR. I remember a word in the movie is whoever you are, in Oasis, you can be a super hero. It literally describes a basic function of VR.

In my opinion, VR is a good digital technology, but there are some reasons would influence its development. Firstly, Some users will feel dizzy, vomiting and other discomforts when using VR devices, which also causes the problem of poor experience. Part of the reason is the lack of clarity, and the other part is that the refresh rate can not meet the requirements.3 Secondly, because VR is a high technology, so the cost of experience is expensive. It would be another reason to prevent the development of VR.

In a word, VR brings us many benefits, and I hope it can develop very well in the future.

big data

Big Data is a field that treats ways to analyze, systematically extract information from. And it is stronger and more powerful than transitional data-processing application software. There are 5V of Big Date: Volume, Velocity, Variety, Value, and Veracity. The smallest unit of Big Data is bit, and then Byte, KB, MB, GB, TB, PB and so on.1

With the development of our social society, the communication of people is becoming more and more frequent, and our life is more convenient than before. Big Data is the product of this high-tech era. “the future will not be IT era, but DT era, DT is Data Technology data technology,” said Yun Ma who is the chairman of Alibaba. Because Alibaba is advanced and powerful in the world, and Big Data is important to Alibaba. Thus, we can see how important Big Data is in the world.

Someone make a metaphor of Big Data that is it likes coal mines, for Big Data contains many treasures and energies. For example, Big data has increased the demand of information management specialists so much so that Software AG, Oracle Corporation, IBM, Microsoft, SAP, EMC, HP and Dell have spent more than $15 billion on software firms specializing in data management and analytics. In 2010, this industry was worth more than $100 billion and was growing at almost 10 percent a year: about twice as fast as the software business as a whole.2 Also, the Los Angeles Police Department and the University of California collaborate to use big data to predict crime.

With regard to what I have mentioned above, we can see Big Data is really useful in our life, and saves many time and resources for us. For my own viewpoint, in the future Big Data will be a main way to develop the remote cities in China. This first Big Data Comprehensive Test Zone is GuiZhou province in China which is my hometown. Actually it is not very prosperous, but now it is developing very fast. So Big Data improves the development of GuiZhou literally, not only in technology area, but also in economics, politics. On the other hand, Big Data can control the intellectual drain. Because it is a new and advanced technology, and it can help a lot. It attracts many elites, so Big Data can retain talents. Big Data has a lot of benefits more over than what I said, so it is super important to learn some new technology, it can help us a lot.

Two-dimensional barcode is the trademark for a type of matrix barcode. A barcode is a machine-readable optical label that contains information about the item to which it is attached. A Two-dimensional barcode consists of black squares arranged in a square grid on a white background, which can be read by an imaging device such as a camera.1

It is very popular to be used for payment in Asia. Recently, it is developing very fast in China, but actually, Korea and Japan are countries that used two-dimensional code to pay earlier than China.

Two-dimensional barcode can be used to store bank account information or credit card information, or they can be specifically designed to work with particular payment provider applications. There are two big companies which master the technology very well. One is Alibaba, the other one is Tencent. Two-dimensional barcode payment brings them great benefits literally.

Two-dimensional barcode payment makes people’s life very convenient. For example, we used to need to bring our wallet or card to hang out. But now, the thing we only need to bring is our phone. We can use our phone to buy everything we want. Additionally, it reduces some accidents. It is easy to lose the wallet or stolen by thieves for someone who is informal or careless. Two-dimensional barcode payment only needs our phone. So, it does reduce some risks. Thus, Two-dimensional barcode payment brings many benefits in our daily life.

However, one coin has two sides. Two-dimensional barcode payment makes our life better, but also brings some risks. I saw a news before, someone forged payment form with Two-Dimensional Code to cheat money. Also, someone implanted the Trojan horse into the two-dimensional code. After scanning, the mobile phone had been poisoned, or remote controlled, or personal information leaked, and the account funds were immediately stolen.2 With the regard to what I have mentioned above, I do think Two-dimensional code payment is convenient, but it needs to be improved in safety.

Artificial Super Intelligence

Artificial Intelligence can divided to 2 different types such as general AI and Artificial Super Intelligence. For example, AlphaGo is a kind of general AI. Artificial Super Intelligence is a Futuristic Approach is designed to become a foundational text for the new science of AI safety engineering. 1 We can call Artificial Super Intelligence as ASI.

A day does not go by without a news article reporting some amazing breakthrough in artificial intelligence. However, scientists are looking forwards to the existence of ASI. Because it is far beyond human intelligence.

In Technological Singularity– is a hypothetical point in the future when technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unfathomable changes to human civilization.  John von Neumann believed that ASI would appear finally.

But, if it is definitely good for our life? It is not rational to think that a machine which is more and more clever than us would protect our life. ASI would not thank us for creating it, unless gratitude is written into its program. “AI does not hate you or love you. But you are made of atoms, and your atoms can be used for other things.”2

So it is important to think ahead how to solve this problem. And we need to learn that it is dangerous to personify it. It would not be late when we can totally understand the reason that why we want to create ASI.
