The session formed part of the program\u2019s ongoing research seminar series and brought together faculty members, graduate students, and researchers interested in methodological innovation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"687\" data-end=\"731\">During the presentation, Dr. Yang discussed:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1133\">\n<li data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"859\">\n<p data-start=\"735\" data-end=\"859\">The integration of big data sources such as online reviews, mobility data, and transactional records into tourism research<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"860\" data-end=\"963\">\n<p data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"963\">Applications of advanced econometric and spatial models for tourism demand and performance analysis<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"964\" data-end=\"1056\">\n<p data-start=\"966\" data-end=\"1056\">The importance of theory-driven empirical design when working with high-dimensional data<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1057\" data-end=\"1133\">\n<p data-start=\"1059\" data-end=\"1133\">Transparency, reproducibility, and robustness in data-intensive research<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1135\" data-end=\"1301\">The seminar emphasized how data science and applied economics can generate actionable insights for destination management, hospitality operations, and tourism policy.
