Worlds of Possibilities<\/em><\/strong> is a research study led by the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion that explores how storytelling can support peer specialists living with mental health conditions. The study will test whether sharing personal stories in a supportive group setting can help participants build confidence, strengthen social connections, and take part in more meaningful community activities.<\/p>\n

Participants will join an 8-week, peer-led group where they will identify their personal goals, reflect on their strengths, and share their experiences of community life. We hope this study will show how storytelling can be a powerful tool for recovery, self-growth, and community participation<\/p>\n\n\n

About the Study<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Storytelling has long been a central part of peer support, helping people connect, inspire hope, and create change. This study builds on that tradition by offering an 8-week, peer-delivered, group-based program<\/em> called Worlds of Possibilities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We want to learn whether this approach helps peer specialists increase their confidence, accept their emotions, feel more supported, and become more active in their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who Can Participate?<\/strong> <\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are looking for adults (18 and older) who have experience with serious mental health conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia and are trained as peer support specialists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
