hello!

My name is Halle and my pronouns are she/her. I am a sophomore history major at Temple University.

The history of me:

My history begins on June 9th, 2002 in Norristown, PA. I have an older half-sister and a younger brother. We live in King of Prussia. Elementary school was fun and middle school was very awkward. In high school, I did every activity that I was even slightly interested in. Marching band, Model UN, track, and the musical. I liked most of them, but track was my favorite. History became my favorite subject because I enjoyed learning about it and I was good at it. After a 15 minute virtual graduation from high school, I began studying history at Temple University.

What is history?

History in a lot of ways reminds me of science. It offers explanations as to why the world is the way it is. History is also subjective. If 100 people see the same event, there are 100 different stories about that event. It’s what makes studying history challenging but also interesting. There is a history for everything. People, places, and ideas all have history. Watching to see how things have changed throughout history makes me wonder how things will change in the future.
