The Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) Society, the nation’s most prestigious academic honor society, launched a new undergraduate scholarship program to connect promising arts and sciences students with opportunities in public service. The Society seeks online applications for the Key into Public Service Scholarship for $5,000 undergraduate scholarships and a trip to D.C. for up to 20 rising sophomore, junior, and senior liberal arts and sciences students interested in public service careers. PBK membership is not required.
Characteristics of ideal recipients include intellectual curiosity, interdisciplinary breadth and depth of arts and sciences coursework, leadership propensity, and service to others. Students within all liberal arts and sciences majors are encouraged to apply. Must graduate in 2021 or later to be eligible.
Applicants can learn more and apply online by December 31, 2019 at PBK.org/ServiceScholarsApp
