Artists Needed for LoveTU Event

The Wellness Resource Center is excited to announce our second LoveTU. The goal of this event is to provide a safe space for Temple students to creatively share stories of hope, resilience, and self-love that has helped folks overcome hardship. Stories will be told through dance, poetry, and song.

Last academic year, we had three Tyler students lend their talents to the show. Each artist did a live drawing throughout the night. The drawings were based on the stories artists heard and emotions that were evoked during the performance. At the end of the show, three audience members won the artwork. The audience loved this aspect of the event and we would like to do this again. We are looking for two – three artists who are comfortable completing a drawing in under 90 minutes before an audience. I’m reaching out to ask if you would share this opportunity with Tyler students.

The event will be held on Tuesday February 12, 2019 from 8:00 pm – 9:30 pm in the Student Center Underground. We ask that artists arrive by 7:30 pm. If students are interested, we ask that they respond by December 14th with their contact information and an example of their artwork. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there are any questions.
