

{"id":273,"date":"2020-09-12T08:04:22","date_gmt":"2020-09-12T12:04:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/voelzlab\/?p=273"},"modified":"2020-09-12T08:04:22","modified_gmt":"2020-09-12T12:04:22","slug":"matt-presents-at-the-fall-acs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.temple.edu\/voelzlab\/2020\/09\/12\/matt-presents-at-the-fall-acs\/","title":{"rendered":"Matt presents at the Fall ACS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Congrats to Matt Hurley, who presented an initial analysis of our COVID-19 related work, &#8220;Massively parallel absolute free energy perturbation calculations on Folding@home to screen potential SARS-CoV-2 protease inhibitors&#8221;, at the Fall 2020 (Virtual) Meeting of the American Chemical Society. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Although our analysis is still ongoing, Matt&#8217;s work takes an initial look at the ability of large-scale FEP simulations to screen possible inhibitors of the SARS-CoV-2 main protease (Mpro), many of which were designed as part of the open-science <a href=\"https:\/\/covid.postera.ai\/covid\">COVID Moonshot<\/a> project.
