Geology and Environmental Science majors, as well as graduate students in the Earth &amp; Environmental Science department. \u00a0Each level and subject presents its own unique challenges and opportunities, but I strive for a balanced approach that mixes lectures with lab activities, field work, and data analysis and interpretation.\u00a0 I was the recipient of a CST Dean&#8217;s Distinguished Teaching Award in 2009, and the CST Italia-Eire Foundation Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award in 2015.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I teach students at all levels: undergraduate non-majors from CST and other Temple colleges, B.A. and B.S.
