Vice President<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-left\"><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Chair monthly TUPA meetings.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Oversee officer elections and fill officer vacancies.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>With the Outreach &amp; Advocacy Officer, maintain relationships with administrators, faculty members, and alumni who support TUPA.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with Secretary and Communications Officer to respond to incoming e-mails and maintain a TUPA membership roll.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Meet with subcommittees as needed to advance TUPA&#8217;s mission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Secretary<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Create and distribute an agenda for monthly TUPA meetings.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Schedule rooms (or manage Zoom link) for monthly TUPA meetings.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Record minutes at each TUPA meeting.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Organize and maintain TUPA documents in Google Drive.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with Presidents and Communications Officers to respond to incoming e-mails and maintain a TUPA membership roll.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Treasurer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Develop an annual budget, with input from other officers.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Keep track of all funds that TUPA receives and report the budget status at each TUPA meeting.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with the Office of the Vice President of Research to disperse funds for approved -expenditures.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with Events Coordinators to determine a budget for each event.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Develop and delegate fundraising strategies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Co-Events Coordinators<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Schedule and coordinate monthly social events, with the help of other officers and the TUPA committee, and report updates at each TUPA meeting.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Maintain contact with other postdoc associations in Philadelphia to plan joint events.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with the Communications Officer to advertise each event.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with the Treasurer to determine a budget for each event.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Help organize professional development events twice a year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Advocacy &amp; Outreach Officer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Coordinate efforts to gain more visibility for postdoc work and value across campus, with the Communications Officer.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Coordinate outreach and advocacy efforts with other groups on and off campus.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Help recruit and orient new TUPA members.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Gather data to help identify issues postdocs are facing informally (by speaking with postdocs) or formally (using surveys).<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>With the Presidents, maintain relationships with administrators, faculty members, and alumni who support TUPA. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Communications Officer<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Maintain TUPA website, removing dated information and keeping all pages up to date.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Administrate forums for communication among postdocs, including Slack and WhatsApp.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Update TUPA social media accounts regularly.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with Secretary and Presidents to respond to incoming e-mails and maintain a TUPA membership roll.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Work with the Event Coordinators to advertise each event.<br><strong>&#8211; <\/strong>Coordinate efforts to gain more visibility for postdoc work and value across campus, with the Advocacy &amp;
