TUPA is excited to host our first in-person Temple Postdoc Research Symposium on Friday, August 25th<\/sup> on Main Campus, College of Science and Technology (CST) building lobby. It\u2019s a day for postdocs to present their work and learn about others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join us for a day of postdoc research, free food, swag, a keynote speaker, and lots of networking!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ongoing Support<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

1. Apply for funding to support your professional development<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Individual postdocs can apply for up to $100 in funding to support their professional development<\/strong>. <\/strong>Examples include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

– <\/strong>Virtual conference registration
– <\/strong>Online training or certification
– <\/strong>Career workshops<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apply here<\/a> for funding! There is no deadline to apply, we will review applications on a rolling basis as opportunities arise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Job materials swap<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

TUPA hosts a job materials swap to trade materials with other postdocs and share feedback on resumes\/CV, cover letters, teaching statements, etc. This is a great way to get input from people outside of your field!\u00a0E-mail tupa@temple.edu if you are interested in joining, and we will email you with more details about sharing materials virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. Accountability group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are starting an accountability group to ensure we all make progress on writing, research-related tasks, networking, job applications, or anything else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. Free editing for your work!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Penn Editors Association (PEA) provides free and confidential editing services to postdocs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Postdocs are also encouraged to serve as volunteer editors, with low time commitment and valuable editing experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
