Thank you for attending our hike! Click here to find photos of our trip.
Join us for a refreshing climb up Mt. Tsukuba and take in the beautiful natural environment. Let’s enjoy the great outdoors and make the most of the weekend!
Mt. Tsukuba is a famous mountain located in the eastern part of the Kanto region of Japan, in Ibaraki Prefecture. With a height of 877 meters, it is one of the most popular hiking destinations in the area.
The mountain is divided into two peaks, known as Nyotai-san and Nantai-san, which are connected by a scenic hiking trail. The two peaks offer different hiking experiences, with Nyotai-san featuring steeper trails and more challenging climbs, while Nantai-san has a gentler incline and is easier to hike.
We will meet at 7:40 AM inside Akihabara Station right outside the gates. We are meeting at Akihabara Station because we will be taking the 8:01 train on the Tsukuba Express to Tsukuba Station.
We have a rare opportunity of having this trip partially funding through the train tickets. Thus, please be sure to sign up so we know how many people will attend. At the ticket gate, we will hand out the tickets. There is a maximum limit of 20 students.
Here is the map of where we will be meeting:
After arriving at Tsukuba Station roughly around 8:50, we will take the 9:10 bus and arrive at the base of the mountain around 10:00.
