In the immediate past the confirmation or <strong><span style=\"color: #9f0000\"><em>QSL<\/em><\/span><\/strong> card exchange was sent by mail and posted prominently in the <em>radio shack<\/em>. In more modern times such QSL cards are exchanged by email and by submission to a verification site. The verification is performed to qualify for various awards, such as the ARRL <span style=\"color: #9f0000\"><strong><em>Worked All States<\/em><\/strong><\/span> (<span style=\"color: #9f0000\"><strong><em>WAS<\/em><\/strong><\/span>)<em> or <span style=\"color: #9f0000\"><strong>Worked All Continents<\/strong><\/span><\/em> (<strong><span style=\"color: #9f0000\"><em>WAC<\/em><\/span><\/strong>) awards. Here are some QSL cards obtained by TUARC showing the diversity of world-wide radio communication.
