Hello! My name is Malia and this website is a space where I will share the work I have created for my Travel Writing class. I am a student at Temple University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and Social Influence with an International Communication concentration. I recently changed my major from Film and Media Arts where I was actively involved with videography and media design. I realized I want to pursue International Communications more and possibly go into diplomacy or work internationally. I have a passionate love for traveling and plan to travel for the rest of my life. I love meeting people of all different backgrounds and forming lasting connections with them. Learning about other cultures and languages is something I have always found incredibly fascinating and I think it is so important for us to incorporate more into our daily lives to foster understanding and build empathy.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Even though I changed career paths from Film and Media, I still want to continue using my talent in writing and photography to reach people! This site contains deeply meaningful pieces of writing and different forms of media I have worked on in my Travel Writing class. Having a space to document some important travels and form my experiences into a tangible work that others can also appreciate is something I really value. I hope you enjoy reading my work and find inspiration to travel or connect more with your community!<\/p>\n<\/div>
