intern helps get client SSI benefits long denied him"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rising 2L Jeremy Giatras had a very productive summer at TLAO! \u00a0Along with working with clients at Action AIDS and Liberty Resources and preparing cases for our fall clinical interns, Jeremy did in-depth legal work representing several people seeking SSI benefits. \u00a0Among his clients, Jeremy built on the work of students in the clinic over the last year and wrote a letter brief to an administrative law judge on behalf of a 56 year old former house painter with AIDS and severe depression who could no longer do his past work. \u00a0The brief framed the case for the judge and at the hearing, the judge followed Jeremy&#8217;s reasoning and ruled for the client on the spot. \u00a0Congratulations to the client and to Jeremy for a productive summer.<\/p>\n<p>We are ready for a new batch of clinical interns to work with our clients this fall! \u00a0 Contact us for more information about our clinics
