To celebrate the tenth anniversary of themus, we welcome proposals from all disciplines under the music studies umbrella, as well as affiliated research, that demonstrate how the field has changed in the past decade and where our discipline is headed in the future.\u00a0<br><br>Proposals should be sent using this <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/JkN3Mw5aD5UKr4UF9\" data-type=\"URL\" data-id=\"https:\/\/forms.gle\/JkN3Mw5aD5UKr4UF9\" target=\"_blank\">form<\/a> by <strong>11:59 PM ET on Friday, December 30, 2022<\/strong>. No information that identifies the author should appear in the proposal title or abstract (including the file name). Proposals should include:\u00a0<br><br>1. Your name (as you\u2019d like it to appear in the program), email address, institutional affiliation, and paper title.\u00a0<br>2. An anonymized abstract of 200\u2013250 words suitable for publication in the program.\u00a0<br>3. Morrison, Ph.D. \u2013\u00a0New York University<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Matthew D. Morrison, Ph.D., is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina, and is an Assistant Professor in the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music in the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. His research focuses on the history of popular music and the relationship between music and identity, and it has been funded by the American Council of Learned Societies, Harvard University, the American Musicological Society, Mellon Foundation, the Library of Congress, the Tanglewood Music Center, and the Center for Popular Music Studies\/Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Matthew\u2019s forthcoming book, <em>Blacksound: Making Race in Popular Music in the United States<\/em>, is under contract with the University of California Press.\u00a0<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nina Eidsheim, Ph.D. \u2013&nbsp;UCLA<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Nina Eidsheim has written books about voice, race, and materiality and is Professor of Musicology at the&nbsp;University of California, Los Angeles.
