This week your child is learning the words grimy, slimy, delicate, and sudsy. Talk about the words with your child. Ask them questions about what the words mean.

A grimy child
Grimy means dirty. You might get grimy after playing outside all day.
Slimy means something feels like it’s covered in slime. Worms, slugs, or frogs are slimy.
Delicate means very fine in texture or structure; of intricate workmanship or quality. Lace is a delicate fabric. Snowflakes are delicate. Glass is delicate.
Sudsy means soapy, with big bubbles.
Congratulations, you are helping your child grow a large vocabulary!
