Stray can mean to get off a path. Little Red Riding Hood strays off the path in the woods. The men in the picture are straying away from the group of people.

Splendid

Splendid means wonderful. You might say “Splendid!” if you are very happy.

Bouquet

A bouquet is a bunch of flowers. Mothers love to receive bouquets of flowers.

Cottage

A cottage is a small house. Little Red visits her grandmother in a cottage.
