Kevin and His Dad

This week we read Kevin and his Dad and learned the words tidy, cobweb, faucet, and squeeze.  Ask your child what each word means, and if they don’t know, explain the meaning to them or show them an example. Here are easy definitions to use.

Tidy room

Tidy means neat, clean, or organized. Ask your child if his or her room is tidy. See if they can make it even tidier.

Cobweb

Cobweb is a spiderweb, especially when old and covered with dust. Ask your child to find a cobweb and help tidy it up.

Faucet

A faucet has water come out of it.

Squeezing a ball

To squeeze is to press firmly together. Ask your child to show you how he or she would squeeze something such as your hand, an orange, or a sponge.

Thank you for helping your child learn!
