Our new words are lullaby, nearby, weep, and sniffle. The words come from the book Hush! A Thai Lullaby. Help your child learn the words.

Lullaby – a song sung to put a child to sleep

Ask your child to sing a lullaby, or sing a lullaby to him or her.

Nearby – located close at hand; not far away

Ask your child what stores are nearby and what stores are far away. 

Weep – cry

Ask your child to pretend to weep.

Sniffle – to sniff continuously because of a cold or crying

Ask your child to show you what a sniffle is.
