This week your child is learning the words trunk, seeds, golden, and blossom. The words come from the book, Trees Count. Help your child learn the words. Here are easy definitions to use.

 

 

A trunk is the main stem of a tree.

Help your child count tree trunks in your neighborhood. 

Seeds are small hard things that plants grow from.

Ask your child: What grows from seeds?

Golden is a bright yellow.

Point out the golden sun or golden flowers to your child. 

The blossom is the flowery part of a tree, bush, or flower.

Look for flower blossoms with your child in a nearby park or at the store.
