This week your child is learning the words juggle, marble, coach, and mitt. The word’s come from the book, Play Ball. Explain what the words mean and talk about them with your child. As you’re going through the week, try to talk about each word three times.

Juggling balls

Juggle – keep multiple objects in the air at the same time. This man is juggling six balls.

Marble

Marble – a small ball of colored glass or similar material used as a toy

Coach

Coach – the person in charge of a team, to help players learn or improve a sport. This dad is coaching his son’s soccer team.

Mitt

Mitt – a baseball glove for catching balls. Baseball players catch balls with their mitt.
