Adventure – a trip or activity that is dangerous or exciting.
Ask your child: Where would you go on an adventure?
Hull – the hard frame and outer shell of a ship (the green part in the picture)
Ask your child: What part of a boat is the hull?
Algae – organisms that live mainly in the water and make their food through photosynthesis. Algae are different from plants in that they have no true leaves, roots, or stems. Seaweeds are algae.
Ask your child: Where do algae live?
Gasping – a sudden, brief taking in of air through the mouth, because of surprise or difficulty breathing.
Ask your child to make a gasping sound.
