Our new words are squint, grin, shrug, and reach. The words come from the book Hop, Hop, Jump. Explain the words to your child. Show them what the words mean.
Squint – to partly close the eyelids. You might squint in the sun if it’s very bright.
Grin means to smile.
Shrug – to raise the shoulders to show one does not know, does not care, or is not responsible.
Reach – to touch or take hold of something by stretching out part of the body
Congratulations, you are helping your child learn new vocabulary!
