TUEMS is looking for new members who are dedicated to helping others and bettering the community. TUEMS members gain knowledge and hands-on experience while delivering care to Temple University’s Main Campus students, staff, and the surrounding North Philadelphia community. All Temple University Students (graduate or undergraduate) of any discipline or major are welcome to join. If you are interested, please follow the forms below. No previous EMS experience is required.
Don’t fret! If you are interested in becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Temple University offers an EMT class through the College of Public Health. Please contact us if you are interested in this, and we can provide more information!
Additionally, your local ambulance agency may offer a course, and many community colleges offer EMT courses during the year and over summer break.

Have an out-of-state certification? See the reciprocity form below or talk to us about obtaining reciprocity.

3. Complete online training and necessary material, including immunization records, as specified in the TUEMS Membership Packet.
4. Attend an initial interview.
