TUEMS is looking for new members who are dedicated to helping others and bettering the community. TUEMS members gain knowledge and hands-on experience while delivering care to Temple University’s Main Campus students, staff, and the surrounding North Philadelphia community. All Temple University Students (graduate or undergraduate) of any discipline or major are welcome to join. If you are interested, please follow the forms below. No previous EMS experience is required.
Don’t fret! Check out the PA Department of Health EMS website to find available courses in your area.
1. Acquire Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification in the state of Pennsylvania (if seeking to become a clinical member).
Have an out-of-state certification? See the reciprocity form below or talk to us about obtaining reciprocity.
2. Complete the TUEMS Application and submit it in the corresponding Canvas module. Request access to the TUEMS Canvas page by sending an email to tuems@temple.edu with your full name and Temple email (in this format tu******@temple.edu).
3. Complete online training and necessary material, including immunization records, as specified in the TUEMS Membership Packet.
4. Attend an initial interview.
