Temple University EMS (TUEMS) is a volunteer student-run organization providing Basic Life Support to Temple University’s Main Campus and the surrounding North Philadelphia community.
TUEMS is a certified Quick Response Service working in conjunction with Temple University’s Police Department and Philadelphia Fire Department to provide high-quality pre-hospital care. All clinical members are certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Health as Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs).

Temple University EMS is dedicated to supplementing and enhancing existing safety measures at Temple University’s flagship campus in North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Working together with Temple University Police Department, Temple University Student Health Services, Philadelphia Fire Department, and the Philadelphia Regional EMS Council, TUEMS aims to accomplish the following goals:
Provide Temple University Main Campus and the surrounding Philadelphia community with specially trained individuals to provide the highest quality of medical care on the Basic Live Support (BLS) level to students and associates of the University Community within minutes of illness or injury.
Maintain and Exercise the highest level of integrity and professionalism to ensure the finest service is rendered.
Engage in Quality Assurance measures and Medical Oversight to ensure the highest standard of patient care is maintained.
Provide members of the university community with educational opportunities.
Allow our associates to gain first-hand experience in the medical profession as well as provide community service and volunteer opportunities to our associates.
