Prom this year will be happening on Saturday, April 7th, at 8:30pm in The Underground in the basement of the Howard Gittis Student Center! Come As You Are Prom is a fun night of celebration with the LGBTQIA+ community on campus. Temple’s Queer Student Union and Queer People of Color organizations as well as the Institutional Diversity office come together for this formal event with free food, fun, music, and dancing. Originally conceived as a “second chance” for those who may not have been able to celebrate at their high school prom due to a lack of acceptance of the LGBTQIA+ community, it’s evolved into a great night welcoming to all on campus. You’re welcome to bring guests and did we mention the completely free food? The dress code for the event is “formal,”  but not black tie, so don’t sweat it if you don’t want to wear a fancy suit or dress – just come as you are! The theme for this year is Casino Royale, but you‘re not required to dress to the theme at all!
