Headquartered in Ithaca, NY, the small team of software developers and engineers are passionate about having a positive impact on the world. In 2010, Zynect began as Wicked Device, providing tech enthusiasts with makers kits. In 2012, Air Quality Egg, an indoor and outdoor air quality monitor with an accompanying education platform emerged to educate individuals and students about the impact of air quality on our health and the environment. The first version of the Air Quality Egg is in the permanent collection of the Vienna Museum of Applied Art. In 2020, Zynect Sensors, a line of Wi-Fi, battery-operated sensors, and supporting software alert systems continue to drive Zynect’s mission of sustainability. For the Technology-linked Epidemiology Education Network research study, Zynect teamed up with Temple University epidemiologists and education experts to provide an accessible online platform for educating tomorrow’s STEM-Ph leaders. Zynect is grant funded by the National Institutes of Health and National Science Foundation.

Thinkdemic is an epidemiology education platform that is used for the Technology-linked Epidemiology Education Network research study.
