Robin Taylor Wilson<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research Role: Principal Investigator <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Wilson is an environmental cancer epidemiologist with experience working on trans-disciplinary implementation research teams. She developed the NIH-funded Early Preparation and Inspiration for Careers in the Biomedical Sciences (EPIC) program, designed to increase interest and persistence in STEM careers among high school students through university-high school partnerships in epidemiology education. This effort is now being expanded via The Technology-Linked Epidemiology Education Network (TEEN), an NIH-funded SBIR partnership. https:\/\/cph.temple.edu\/about\/directory\/robin-taylor-wilson<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alexandra Ruth<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research Role: Research Project Manager<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Alexandra is the research project manager and a former graduate research assistant to the TEEN project. She received her Master of Public Health degree at Temple, with a focus in Epidemiology in 2021. She received her Bachelor of Science in Biobehavioral Health from Penn State University in 2017. Her research interests include cancer epidemiology, environmental epidemiology, and health disparities. Alexandra plans to begin her Ph.D. in Epidemiology in the Fall of 2022 at Temple University. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mersi<\/strong> Schueck<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research Role: Research Assistant<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mersi Schueck is a first year MPH Epidemiology student, and a research assistant for Temple University College of Public Health. Her research interest includes the epidemiology of mental health with a special interest in stress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levent Dumenci<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research Role: Biostatiscian <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Levent holds a doctoral degree in Psychometrics\/Statistics. His most recent work focuses on the measurement of cancer health literacy (NCI R01 CA1400151) and the latent mixture extensions of traditional latent trait models (NIMH R03 MH064474). Levent has extensive experience in the applications of novel quantitative methods involving behavioral measurement and biostatistical methods. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dirk Swart<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Research Role: Principal Investigator<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Swart believes in inspiring and empowering students of all ages by making technological tools available which facilitate a scientific approach to thinking and understanding the world. Prior to establishing Wicked Device in 2010, Mr. Swart served as a manager and assistant director of Web Technologies at Cornell University for more than seven years and was a visiting fellow at the Pardee center for the study of the longer-term future. As a founding board member of the Ithaca Generator, a community hackerspace, Mr. Swart helped to create a community creative space, which continues to be a vibrant part of Ithaca, NY. Mr. Swart has an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and received his MA in International Relations from Tufts Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victor Aprea<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Research Role: Software Development Lead<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Victor Aprea is the CTO of Zynect Sensors and Software Development Lead for the project. He received his B.S. ’02 and M.Eng. ’04 from Cornell University in Electrical Engineering. He enjoys working on sensor technology, web-based systems, and applications, as well as analysis, visualization, and exploration of complex data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
