Dr. Teh Lin is an Associate Professor of Radiation Oncology<\/strong> at Fox Chase Cancer Center, Temple University<\/strong>, and a Fellow of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM)<\/strong>. With nearly two decades of experience in medical physics<\/strong>, Dr. Lin specializes in radiation treatment planning, medical imaging, and advanced imaging system development<\/strong> aimed at improving cancer diagnosis and therapy.<\/p>

She received her BS in Nuclear Science<\/strong> from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan<\/strong>, and went on to earn her MS and PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science<\/strong> from the University of Michigan \u2013 Ann Arbor<\/strong>. Her early research focused on ultrahigh-intensity laser-accelerated proton beam mechanisms<\/strong>, where she collaborated internationally with teams at LULI, \u00c9cole Polytechnique (France)<\/strong> and JAEA, Kansai Photon Science Institute (Japan)<\/strong> to investigate the relationship between laser contrast and accelerated proton energy.<\/p>

In her more recent work, Dr. Lin has advanced research in 4D computed tomography-based functional imaging<\/strong> and AI-driven radiation treatment planning<\/strong>, applying these innovations directly to enhance precision and personalization in cancer treatment<\/strong>.<\/p>

At Fox Chase, Dr. Lin has held multiple roles since joining in 2005 \u2014 beginning as a Research Associate, later serving as Chief Resident during her medical physics residency, and advancing to Associate Professor in 2020<\/strong>. She has authored and co-authored over 130 publications<\/strong>, contributing significantly to the understanding of motion artifacts, proton therapy, and imaging technology<\/strong>.<\/p>

Dr. Lin is an active member of AAPM<\/strong>, the American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO)<\/strong>, and the International Organization for Medical Physics (IOMP)<\/strong>. She also serves on the editorial board of the Journal of Cancer Research and Cellular Therapeutics<\/strong> and is a peer reviewer for several leading journals in medical physics and radiation oncology.<\/p>

Her election as a Fellow of the AAPM in 2024<\/strong> recognizes her leadership, scholarship, and groundbreaking contributions<\/strong> to advancing cancer treatment through medical physics.<\/p>
