Dr. W. Geoff Wright is a Professor at Temple University and Director of the Neuromotor Science Graduate Program, where his research and teaching focus on cognitive neuroscience, motor control, and virtual reality applications in rehabilitation and human performance.
He is also Co-founder and Principal Scientist at UprightVR, a research-driven company developing cutting-edge VR solutions to enhance motor learning, balance, and neurorehabilitation. His work bridges neuroscience, engineering, and immersive technologies, advancing both academic inquiry and practical interventions for human health.
Prior to his academic career, Dr. Wright served as a Satellite Engineering and Operations Officer in the United States Air Force, where he applied his technical expertise to aerospace systems and mission-critical operations.
Dr. Wright holds a PhD in Cognitive Neuroscience from Brandeis University, a Master’s in Experimental Psychology from Northeastern University, and a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering with a minor in Mathematics from Virginia Tech. Over his career, he has published extensively, mentored graduate students, and contributed to cross-disciplinary collaborations that integrate psychology, engineering, and neuroscience.
