BIOGRAPHY
Elizaveta (Liz) Belova serves as the Speaker Recruitment Lead for TEDxTempleUniversity 2025, where she brings a scientist’s precision and a communicator’s empathy to one of the event’s most vital elements: its voices. A Fulbright Scholar, Muskie Fellow, and Presidential Fellow at Temple University, Liz is currently pursuing her PhD in Bioengineering, where she researches the mechanisms of breast cancer metastasis.
In this role, Liz leads outreach to identify, engage, and recruit a diverse slate of speakers whose stories reflect TEDxTemple’s mission of discovery and transformation. From first conversations to speaker onboarding, she ensures each candidate feels supported, valued, and set up for success.
Outside of TEDx, Liz enjoys taking ballet classes, has contributed to cancer research at Fox Chase Cancer Center, and published peer-reviewed studies on cancer cell invasion. She believes in the transformative power of sharing knowledge — whether through science, mentorship, or the stage of TEDx.
