BIOGRAPHY
Dakota Nguyen is the visual storyteller behind TEDxTempleUniversity 2025. As a sophomore majoring in Media Studies & Production at Temple University, Dakota brings fresh perspective, sharp instincts, and bold creativity to her role as Director of Filming.
In this position, she leads the entire video production process — from directing speaker recordings to overseeing post-production and crafting the visual identity of TEDxTemple. Her mission: to ensure every talk isn’t just watched, but deeply felt.
With a passion for documentary-style storytelling and an eye for cinematic detail, Dakota captures more than just content — she preserves moments of impact. Her work helps transform ideas on stage into compelling visual narratives that resonate far beyond the event.
Outside of TEDx, Dakota continues to explore the power of media in shaping culture, community, and conversation. Whether behind the camera or in the editing suite, she is driven by a belief that the right frame can change how we see the world — and each other.
