Temple Sumobot Competition 2027 Registration

Get ready for an exciting showcase of engineering and innovation!

The SumoBot Competition 2027 will take place on February 15, 2027. Teams will design, build, and battle autonomous robots in a high-energy contest that highlights strategy, strength, and creativity. This event offers a fantastic opportunity for students and robotics enthusiasts to demonstrate their skills and compete for top honors in the ring.

Schools in low-income–serving districts may request a SumoBot kit by January 15, 2026 and begin learning the competition rules.

We are offering $2,000 in total prizes:

  • 🥇 1st Place: $600
  • 🥈 2nd Place: $500
  • 🥉 3rd Place: $300
  • 👩‍💻 Top All-Girls Team: $300
  • 🔧 Top DIY Robot Team: $300
Registration requirements:

  • Each school may register up to two teams.
  • A high school teacher from the same school must accompany participating students as the chaperone.
  • Please upload the clearance form for minors during registration.
